Pacific Catch in the Community Update

On April 26thPacific Catch Campbell participated in the Silicon Valley “Dining Out for Life” event benefitting local AIDS/HIV programs.  Our participation included donating 25% of sales for the day, which came to a total of $3400.

Pacific Catch also topped the envelope contribution totals at $2,220.  Second was Celia’s in Palo Alto with $1171.

Total Pacific Catch Donation = $5620

In March and April two different events were held at Pacific Catch to benefit the San Francisco and Marin Food Bank. The shrimp menu promotion, which involved donating a $1 for every special entrée ordered, brought in $672 and proceeds from the April 16th4sqdaySF event was rounded to $1000 totaling a $1672 donation.

For every $1 donated to the Food Bank, $6 worth of food is distributed into the community therefore our $1672 donation is worth $10,032 in food distribution.

97% of all donations go directly toward getting food to hungry people.

On April 16th Pacific Catch 9th Ave. turned the back parking lot into a festive BBQ celebration for Foursquare Day. Yes Foursquare!  The fun geolocation phone app that helps users explore their community and offers businesses a way to connect with guests in real time.

The 2nd annual Pacific Catch @4sqdaySF event celebrated all things Foursquare but also brought the local community together to give back.  Neighbors and partners of Pacific Catch donated their time and goods so 100% of the proceeds from wine, beer, tacos, t-shirt and raffle ticket sales could be donated to the American Red Cross, Japan Tsunami & Earthquake relief.

$3953 was raised during the event, our friends at Hahn Winery wrote a check for $640 and then our gracious partners at Sapporo matched $2000 totaling $6593.

This year, Foursquare Day in San Francisco will be about more than stealing mayor titles and collecting badges.

Foursquare Day, to be appropriately celebrated this Saturday on the 16th day (literally, four squared) of the 4th month of the year, originally began as a globally-celebrated day for fans of the social media platform to come together and celebrate all things Foursquare while also checking-in with local businesses.

This year, San Francisco’s Foursquare Day, officially hosted by Pacific Catch Restaurants, and co-hosted by local culinary consulting group The Culinary Edge, will use the holiday and power of social media as a means to raise money to support Japanese Earthquake Relief.

“In year’s past, we have celebrated Foursquare Day simply as a way to connect with fellow Foursquare users and unlock coveted badges.  However, in light of the recent events in Japan we felt that we had to do something,” says Chamin Mills, marketing and events manager at Pacific Catch.

Much like last year, the San Francisco’s official Foursquare Day party will be taking place at Pacific Catch’s Ninth Avenue location with hopes of unlocking a “Super Swarm” badge. However, this year’s celebration is much bigger with an outdoor BBQ, live band, beer and wine booths and 100% of the proceeds will be donated directly to the American & Japanese Red Cross to help rebuild those areas affected by last month’s earthquake.

To raise money, party-goers will be able to purchase food, drink, & the official “4sqdaySF” t-shirts:
